As organizations dedicated to serving those who are vulnerable, we have to consider who is the most vulnerable and work to protect them first.
We will do additional screening of all who attend the meals (currently being served at The Drop In) for symptoms of Covid-19, and also for their housing situation... Updated 25 March 2020 As a community we at the Royal City Mission, Drop In Centre, Hope House, Wyndham House and the Guelph Community Health Centre are combining resource efforts to meet the needs of vulnerable community members during our COVID-19 response. We will be supported with food from Guelph CHC’s SEED program, funding from the County of Wellington and by generous members of our community.

At Royal City Mission (RCM) we have chosen to live by 3 simple values: Relationship, Justice and Beauty. The real test of what we value comes in time of struggle, and this is such a time.
With the outbreak of Covid-19 we are trying to understand how to live out these values while keeping people safe and healthy... A number of people in our community have asked what measures we are taking to reduce risks related to the coronavirus. Our staff are monitoring the situation and are following Public Health guidelines....

Beat the Winter Blues is in its 9th year. It's always a great night of music and fun. Featured bands this year include: 2 Fish The Jerome Godboo Band The Right Reverend Blues Band Doors open at 6:30 pm Tickets are $20.00 and can be purchased on-line here or from any of our staff. All proceeds go toward the meal program. We are pleased to provide another morning of training for volunteers and ministry leaders serving in and around Royal City Mission. We hope you can join us. The morning will include the following sessions and workshops: 9am - Opening Session: The Importance of Prayer (Tarcia Gerwing) 9:45 - Workshops (45min) 1. Naloxone training- attendees will recieve training as well as a naloxone kit 2. Prayer Practices (Gavin Wark) 10:30 - Coffee Break 11:00 - Workshops (45min) 1. Mental Illness and the Gospel (Nick Cardesis ) 2. Kitchen Basics - Orientation to RCM's new Kitchen (Mark Anderson) 3. When our hardworking stove from the 1950s broke down we were faced with a choice: shut down our meal program or bring the entire kitchen up to code. We chose to continue serving meals and started the $230,000 kitchen renovation.
