Invisible > Visible

We're a community of people working together to make the invisible visible in Guelph.

Creating a safe and respectable space for people to gather, creates opportunity for community to develop. Not just among those who are accessing services but for those who provide services.

We have found contact with those who may be experiencing a different life journey than us changes our perceptions about them.

We begin to “see” the other as us, and us as the “other”, making them visible not only to us, but to those we come in contact with.

Love, acceptance, compassion are all invisible qualities that we hope to make visible though tangible help (meals, storage, washrooms etc.) and through the building of connections.

We work hard to provide a safe and loving environment for anyone who is in need.

In a world that often seems to fragment, our community consistently welcomes all.

We believe that each one of us has a need. Often, Royal City Mission becomes the place where needs are met - whether that be physical, spiritual, emotional, or relational.

Often the best way to get to know someone is to see what they do. The easiest way to see this is through our programs.

What We Do

Land Acknowledgment

We acknowledge our gratitude to the land on which we are able to serve and meet. We are grateful for what it provides and how it allows us, Royal City Mission, to appreciate beauty, and build relationship. We strive to seek justice and reconciliation by honouring the dish with one spoon covenant - taking only what we need and keeping the dish clean. We were invited into this covenant by the Indigenous peoples whose land on which we gather, the traditional lands of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation of the Anishinaabek.
