It all started with a broken stove.
In 2018 our stove broke and in the process of replacing it we were asked to bring our ventilation, plumbing, and fire suppression up to current code. This was a huge setback - we need a hard-working industrial range to serve over 600 meals a week.

Setback = OpportunityBut often where there's a setback there is also an opportunity. We took this opportunity to update our entire kitchen to better serve our community.
We embarked on a $230,000 renovation project, continued to serve meals during the construction*, and eagerly looked forward to when our kitchen would be back up and running. *A huge thank you The Drop In, Hope House, Knox Presbyterian, and St. George's Anglican for hosting us during the construction. Also a big thank you to our volunteers who managed in other locations, and our guests for their patience.

Still A Little Bit To GoWe’re still looking for supporters to help us reach our fundraising goal for this project.
Please help us continue to provide a safe and loving environment for anyone who is in need. |
