Opening Doors

Cooling Centre Opens

This week we opened our Cooling Centre... and just in time for the incredible heat. I am thankful for the relief today! We've only had a few visitors to date, but we are expecting that it will take some time for people to hear that we are open.

In the meantime, we are thankful for the donation of a large number of perennial plants from the University of Guelph that we are selling to raise funds toward air conditioning for the Cooling Centre. The mix includes Begonias, Celosia, Snap-Dragons, Amaranth and Asian Ponysfoot. They won't last much longer, so drop in if you are interested, take what you need, and pay what you can.

Doors Are Open For Our Sunday Service

As you have probably heard, we have been given the green light to gather once again, in religious services provided we stay within 30% of our building capacity. This is when having  a big building is of great benefit!
We do plan to meet in our sanctuary this Sunday (June 14th) at 11 am. This will be a paired down service more in line with what we have been doing online.
Before you rush off to service this Sunday, please consider these things:
  1. Staying home is a good choice. If you are at risk in any way, we hope that you will simply tune in to the Facebook Live option at 11 am at facebook.com/rcmguelph.

  2. If you do attend in person, we ask that you wear a mask to protect yourself and others. Some may have difficulty breathing in a mask - please see number 1. We will have some disposable masks for those who do not have their own. Please try to bring one to keep costs and waste at a minimum

  3. We ask people to respect physical distance - please stay 6 feet apart. While people will be excited to see one another, we ask that you greet each other without any physical contact.

  4. A meal will be served at the front of 50 Quebec St at 11 am, so the back entrance would be your best access to our service.

  5. We are still waiting on further guidance from Public Health so please be aware that additional measures, coming as late as Saturday, may be required.

Open to Individual Appointments

Our pastoral team are taking individual appointments. If you would like to meet with one of our pastors for any reason, please contact our office to set up an appointment. The same guidelines as for our services re: physical distancing and masks will be in place.
