Stations of the Cross

WALK THROUGH THE STATIONS OF THE CROSS

The Stations of the Cross is a devotional practice made up of 14 parts – journeying with Jesus as he makes his way to the Cross. Our prayer is that as you move through these stations you encounter Jesus, walk through the darkness that surrounds the journey to death, and ultimately experience a profound sense of God’s love for you and God’s love for all of us.

THE ONLINE EXPERIENCE

Please move through the 14 stations assembled here on this site. Treat each page as a new ‘room’ that you are entering and engage with the images, text, and meditation prompt, for each station. On each page, there are additional links that can direct you to the sermon given for that particular station.

ABOUT THE IMAGES

The images are digitally painted by our Lead Pastor & Executive Director, Kevin Coghill. Many of the images use members of our community as models.

WHAT IS GOSPEL CONTEMPLATION?

Gospel Contemplation is a form of meditation prayer that immerses the person in the story of Jesus’ time on earth.

Read the Passage several times.

Pause between readings. Gaze at the Station’s image.

Let the story take hold.

Become a part of the story by imagining yourself as someone there. Take part in the story. Imagine yourself doing what your character would be doing, seeing, hearing, tasting, smelling.

Wait to draw conclusions until after your imagination runs its course.
After imagining the story, meditate about what you experienced. Ask for God to reveal what needs to be revealed.
