Looking Forward To 2023

12/16/2022

We’re excited to announce a new partnership with the City of Guelph for 2023 that will help us extend our Drop-In Program hours. An additional 4 hours of Drop-In fills the gap in services between when the shelter closes and the current opening of RCM.

There are a few things that need to be in place before we can extend our hours, but a key piece is hiring and training new staff. Once new staff are in place, RCM’s Drop-In Program will be open from 8:00am to 7:30pm, Mondays to Saturdays. We’re working as hard as we can to extend our hours as soon as possible.

If you think someone might be a great fit working as Program Support at Royal City Mission, please send them the job description - it can be found here: royalcitymission.ca/careers

With extending our Drop-In hours, we’re also looking for volunteers. If you’re interested in volunteering with us, please sign up online here: royalcitymission.ca/volunteer

Funding and Partnership

The City of Guelph’s partnership will be covering approximately a third of the cost to operate our Drop-In program in 2023. They are our biggest single funding partner in 2023 but are not the sole contributor to our Drop-In program; 50% of our budget is dependent on the generous financial donations from the wider Guelph Community and beyond. Donations come from individuals, businesses, churches and faith groups who help to provide a safe and welcoming space in downtown Guelph to those who need it the most.

Thank you so much for your continued support – we can’t do this without you.
